Hi! I'm Mel Cieslik
I’m obsessed with babies, and all things tech. So, it is only natural that became a newborn photographer. Teaching others how to make a living doing what they love (without it taking over their life).
I'm a passionate maternity, newborn, and family photographer based in Western Australia. With 14 years of experience capturing the precious moments of little bubs and their families, I have dedicated myself to perfecting the art of photography and sharing my knowledge with aspiring photographers.
What's more, I wouldn't be where I am today without my strict business acumen and my love of numbers. Without the structure, and analytical mindset, photography can be nothing more than a hobby!

Are the LR Presets compatible with Adobe Camera RAW?
No, Unfortunately. These presets have been designed specifically for Lightroom CC and Lightroom Classic.
I have paid for my course but it has not been emailed.
In most cases this is due to an email address being entered incorrectly at time of purchase. Please fill in the form on the contact page and allow up to 24 hours for this to be rectified by one of our team.

Who are your courses best suited for?
My courses are designed for photographers in the first few years of business—especially those in newborn, maternity, and family photography—who want to grow their skills, boost bookings, and build a sustainable business that works around their lifestyle.
Are there any live workshops available?
There are 1:1 workshops available for photographers based in Perth only at this point in time. Please visit the store shop to see how to book.
Are your programs only for Australian photographers?
Not at all! While I’m based in Australia and use Aussie lingo and seasonal references, the strategies and tools I teach apply to photographers worldwide.
What currency is the online store prices?
As I service photographers worldwide, the international currency has been set at USD.
Are the courses live or pre-recorded?
All courses are pre-recorded, so you can watch them anytime, anywhere, at your own pace. Once you purchase, you’ll have lifetime access! The Newborn Photography Business Blueprint membership includes pre-recorded videos as well as a live monthly online group coaching call.
How long do I have access to the course materials?
Forever! Yep, lifetime access means you can return to the lessons as many times as you like—whenever you need a refresher or want to dive deeper.
What if I fall behind?
No stress at all. Since the courses are self-paced, you can move through the content in a way that fits your schedule. There's no such thing as "behind" here.
Do I need any specific software or gear to complete your courses?
Nope! Just a device with internet access. Any gear or tools I recommend (like Lightroom, DSLR cameras, etc.) will be clearly mentioned, and I provide plenty of alternatives where possible.
Are your courses suitable for complete beginners?
Some are, and some are more advanced. Each product description clearly states the experience level it’s designed for—so whether you’re just starting or want to level up, you’ll find the perfect fit.
How do I access my course after purchasing?
Once you complete your purchase, you’ll receive an email with a login link and instructions to access your course inside your personal course portal.
Can I download the course videos?
The videos are hosted in your private member portal and are accessible anytime with an internet connection, but they’re not downloadable to protect the integrity of the content.
Can I share my login or course with a friend?
Your course access is for one person only. If your friend wants to join, they’ll need to purchase their own license—this supports the time, value, and integrity of the education I provide.
What if I have questions while going through the course?
Many courses include access to a private Facebook group where you can ask questions, get support, and connect with other photographers. And if you need tech help, my support team is just an email away!
Do you offer 1:1 coaching or feedback on my work?
I do offer limited 1:1 coaching opportunities throughout the year. Keep an eye on my emails or join the waitlist to be first to know when spots open up!
I’ve bought courses before and never finished them. How is this different?
I totally get it—and I’ve been there too! That’s why my courses are broken down into short, actionable lessons that you can watch in bite-sized chunks (hello, nap time productivity!). Plus, many of them come with workbooks, templates, and real-world examples to help you actually implement what you learn—not just binge and forget.
